What the game stores

A random session identifies your browser or native app. The browser stores it in a first-party, HTTP-only cookie; the iOS app stores it in Keychain. Our database stores a hash of that session alongside edition dates, submitted answers, correctness, attempts, hints, and share-button use. These records support progress, streaks, statistics, and understanding which puzzles work.

Browser and native app sessions are separate. We do not offer accounts or cross-device recovery. Clicking Share opens your device’s share controls; the app records share-button use, not your chosen recipient or whether you completed a share.

Services and optional features

Vercel hosts the web service and Railway hosts its database. Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request details, and operational logs to deliver and secure the service. Morning Maths does not include advertising or tracking SDKs.

The AI provider may receive instructions for selecting a mathematical puzzle recipe. Your submitted answers and play history are not included in those requests.

Optional iOS reminders are scheduled locally on your device. You can turn them off in the app or iOS notification settings. When using TestFlight, Apple may process installation, diagnostic, and feedback information under its own policies and your device settings.

iOS membership and purchases

Native iOS play requires an active Apple subscription or eligible free trial. Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user ID, purchase receipts and transaction information, subscription status, and technical information needed to validate and restore access and understand membership usage. This purchase identity is separate from your game session and email subscription. We do not receive payment card details or use purchases for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Restore purchases uses your Apple Account to recover membership; it does not recover play history. Manage or cancel your subscription in Apple Account settings. Contact support for purchase-data deletion requests; transaction records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations and handle refunds. Deleting data does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Optional daily email

If you sign up for the daily puzzle email, we store your email address, confirmation and subscription status, consent timestamps, and delivery records. Email subscriptions are separate from anonymous game sessions and do not link your email address to play history. Resend processes your address and message content to deliver the email and report delivery problems. We do not add open or click tracking to our messages; tracking must also remain disabled in the provider settings.

Confirm your address to start receiving puzzles. You can stop future daily emails using the unsubscribe link in any email, without signing in. We retain subscription and delivery records until you request deletion; an unsubscribed or bounced address may remain on a suppression list to prevent further sends. Contact support to request deletion. Preference links authorize changes to your subscription; keep them private.

Retention and deletion requests

We retain pseudonymous play history until you request deletion, so your statistics and streaks continue to work. There is no automatic expiry schedule for these records.

To request deletion or ask about your data, email hello@morningmaths.com. Requests are handled manually. Because play history is tied to a device session rather than an email account, we may need to verify which session belongs to you before acting. Do not email passwords, session cookies, or Keychain contents.

Clearing browser storage or uninstalling the app does not itself delete server-side history. Private recovery backups can contain older copies; affected backups must also be handled when processing a deletion request and before restoring deleted records.
